Since it was so much fun to go back through my own posts and argue for points, I thought I'd do it for everyone.

Final predictions that were kind of correct from throughout the season

Tigh:

+.5 points for Human and Cylon allies going back to a nice green planet with things to eat (not +1 because Kobol isn't now-Earth)

+1 for epic bloodiness.

+1 for Roslin dying.

Humans and Cylon allies finally go back to Kobol. You know, the nice green planet with things to eat and about only thing that hasn’t been irradiated or obliterated in the last 2000 years. I’m guessing there will be an epic, bloody showdown with Cavil ‘n’ Co., fulfilling part of the prophicies (…any return to Kobol… bloodshed… yada yada…)

Roslin kicks the bucket by the end of the series.

http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/01/26/what-the-frak-is-going-on-tighs-eye-to-the-future/

Adm Adama:

+1 points for knowing that he, and all of us here at So Say We All are Cylons. Mad props.

Let me first tell you all this: I am a Cylon. But it’s cool, because you are, too. See, we are all Cylons, man. We just don’t look into each others’ eyes for long enough periods of time to see it. The refresh rate is really slow.

http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/16/wtfigo-a/

Angel Starbuck:

+1 for accurately predicting that Hera is our mitochondrial source.

Maybe Hera won’t literally lead (not yet, anyway), but she’s probably just the first of many half-Cylon babies to come.

http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/what-the-frak-is-going-on-thrace-thoughts/

+1 for accurately predicting that Hera is a great token for negotiation. +0 points for not predicting that nobody would get resurrection because Tory is a bitch.

+1 for epic bloodiness

Boomer takes Hera back to Cavil. Duh. I think Cavil’s going to use her as a bargaining chip to get Ellen and the rest of the Final Five to give him the keys to ressurection.

Maybe we’re going to have a showdown on that colony that Cavil talked about with Ellen.

http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/03/06/wtfigo-my-father-the-cylon/

+2 for somehow tapping into the fleet's strategic hive mind and knowing exactly what Galactica was going to do 2 weeks in advance.

+1 for the foresight to have Anders as the last one on the ship...ever.

+2 for knowing that the notes were coordinates to Earth.

Or maybe it represented the Galactica being used to smash into the Colony in some kind of military tactical maneuver that would help it go out “in style”. If this happens I have a feeling that Sam’s going to be the only left on the ship, and he’s going to help control it.

The musical notes. I told Sam that he could probably unlock the pattern. That’s ’cause he wrote the song. The musical notes probably correspond to a star pattern (visible from the Colony) that will lead us to our new home. Daniel has been orchestrating all of this all along.

Holy cow, we went prediction crazy at the end. I think Romo deserves at least a few more points for being spot on about Earth.

So, here's what my balance should be, plus some slightly unnecessary links to everything. It's totally unfair that I never got adequately docked for my horrible predictions.

+.5 for Galactica not being a spacecraft at the end of the show

I believe Galactica will NO LONGER BE A FUNCTIONAL SPACE-CRAFT come the end of the series.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/13/what-the-frak-is-going-on-we-the-eights-thought-starbuck-was-the-harbinger-of-death-edition/

+.1 for the foresight to think that StarbuckS would be a potential thing to be in times square at the most horrible of horrible ending times.

Final episode prediction? Someone is drinking real coffee (Not sure whether it’s a past or a future cup of coffee, but not algae coffee.)
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/20/what-the-frak-is-going-on-selfdestructive-hyperemotional-torn-apart-by-conflicting-impulses-edition/

-1 for being stupid and pretending Roslin was just like Elenor Roosevelt.

Clearly, PRESIDENT ROSLIN WILL OUTLIVE ADMIRAL ADAMA (we might not see either die, though). Barely. They might also be cousins.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/27/what-the-frak-is-going-on-eights-are-everywhere-edition/

+.5 for nuking on the Cylon's base.

Everyone will get over the (awesome) cylons being different…I mean, they have to, if they ever want HDTV - err - a working battlestar. But not before the fleet bombed the heck out of the cylons base (Ahem, nuclear weapons? They did those). And yet later on, friends. Following this model, the cylons would be demilitarized. The ones who are left seem to be ok with choosing to be nice. I mean, the nice ones, like me.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/27/what-the-frak-is-going-on-eights-are-everywhere-edition/

+.1 for citing the tipping point and using the word co-evolution.

It’s not about love, it’s about crossing the threshold into NON-CYLON-CYLON relationships. Human -cylon hybrids are the way of the future, and the only hope for the survival of Cylons as a species/race. It is the tipping point in the co-evolution of cylons and humans, and it is time for the maker and the made to unify into one collective force.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/02/27/what-the-frak-is-going-on-eights-are-everywhere-edition/

+1 for Baltar not being in charge of anyone at the end.

Baltar: And once there, he’ll return to his psychotic scientist ways again, instead of being as wrapped up in the psycholeader role he’s been lately. In other words, he won’t be the leader of the inevatable counter-cultural haremesque splinter group when we see him last.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/03/13/what-the-frak-is-going-on-athenas-heart-will-go-on-edition/

+1 for additional awesome Athena/Boomer predictions

Athena is a wreck.

Kidnapping has got to be so much worse in space. At least on earth you know with some certainty that your kid is out there somewhere. In space, that somewhere gets infinitely bigger. Deep down, I think she knows that, even though Boomer is horrible to her and ruins everything, that Boomer will have Hera’s best interests in mind. But that won’t stop her from trying to kill her when they come face to face in a battle of the Eights (I think only Boomer OR Athena will survive to the end). She’ll make up with her hot husband, get back cute kid, and live happily ever after. If she lives, that is.

Boomer is a wreck. She totally has a soul, buried somewhere deep inside, and Hera knows.

Boomer will take a card from Starbuck and go try to kick some Cavil ass. He’ll do something that seems kind of horrible to Hera (on account of he has no soul), and she’ll tune in to her inner eight-ness and actually do something about it. I don’t think she’ll out-and-out succeed, and I do think Athena will kick her butt, but she will try. It won’t stop us from hating her, though.

But when she bites the dust, with anyone speak for her?
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/03/13/what-the-frak-is-going-on-athenas-heart-will-go-on-edition/

+.5 for Adama actually burying Roslin and for Roslin getting all drugged up and not having breakdowns.

And Adama will bury her with that book they keep reading together. Oh, and did I mention she’s going to be a trooper through the end? No more breakdowns for her.
http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/03/13/what-the-frak-is-going-on-athenas-heart-will-go-on-edition/

+.005 for Roslin being planted like the little plant with a stick coming out of her kind of like a little tree. Please say someone else has read the Ender's Game series as in depth as I have. See also "home is where we're all getting along."

And at the end of it all (like, the very tale end), we’ll make it to somewhere and Roslin (or her proxy/successor) will plant that little plant wherever it is we (all) end up (together). It’ll be a metaphor then, like how it’s a metaphor now.

But even as I say that, if home is what we’re searching for, we might realize we’ve already found it. If the final five, as I think they are, are the Moseses/United States Government for us (all of us) in this Zionist movement, then it could be that home is when we’re all getting along. http://billadama.wordpress.com/2009/01/23/what-the-frak-is-going-on-the-eights-weigh-in/

-1 for operating under the assumption that we were going to get a government at the end.

-1 for operating under the assumption that the earth we live on is Earth 1.0 and that it is in fact Earth 4.0 or something.

So give me +.705 more points :)

Holy cow, we went prediction crazy at the end. I think Romo deserves at least a few more points for being spot on about Earth.

+.005 for Roslin being planted like the little plant with a stick coming out of her kind of like a little tree. Please say someone else has read the Ender’s Game series as in depth as I have. See also “home is where we’re all getting along.”

So give me +.705 more points

I will take the points as given. Even though, I thought there should have been a scene where President Romo hordes up all the comforting gadget (coffee makers, raptors, etc) and goes with the people that don't want to live in dirt and starts up the lost continent of Atlantis. That would have been less weird than Starbuck poofing away.

>>Has she ever contributed anything useful to our Colonial society?

Diana managed to destroy a missile directly aimed at Colonial One ("He that believeth in me").
True, president Roslyn wasn't on board during the battle...

Think D.S. deserved a line in the finale anyway.

I know everyone was talking about this and I'm clearly the slow one (ahem, otherwise busy with kid to chase around Africa and healing hot husband), but Totally Brilliant, Admiral. Those native women on the sub-continent must be rockin' your world.
